Installation Artwork "Structural Chaos"
“Structural Chaos” is an unusual installation artwork that changes its form with the place of installation. The idea of creating this artwork is also to break stagnancy that may be found in artwork or in our thoughts towards an artwork.
The artwork consists of Arabic words written in beautiful calligraphy. The words are laser-cut from stainless steel, they don’t change themselves but their rearrangement and manipulation according to the situation makes the difference. Like a man of honor, he doesn’t change a word but just uses the right word in the right way and place.
The strength of the structure comes from the interdependence of letters and words, showing their beauty and their consistency with each other when placed in any form and composition. This installation does not contain any adhesive to keep it up.
The words used are two poetry verses from the poem “Glory of the Emirates”, written by the Ruler of Dubai, they say:
We are the poem, we’re the melody and the chord
The word, the act, the achievement and the victory
The primacy is ours in knowledge and in action
Every day we achieve a new pride and glory
نحن القصيد ونحن اللحن والوتر
والقول والفعل والإنجاز والظفر
لنا الصّدارة في علم وفي عمل
في كل يوم لنا مجد ومفتخر
“The Shining letter” Chandelier
“The Shining letter” chandelier is a chandelier inspired by Arabic calligraphy letters. It created in a hexagon shape which is best equal size units and leaves no wasted space. Hexagonal packing also minimizes the perimeter for a given area because of its 120-degree angles.
